Paul Crowney has been a journalist for more than 15 years. His career started and progressed in Hertfordshire, from local reporter to chief sub of an award-winning weekly. From there, he worked in Beijing on the China Daily – the country’s authoritative English-language newspaper – before moving to Sydney to help launch a new entertainment magazine. Returning to the UK, Paul worked for The Independent for four years, and was stationed in its London, Dublin and Belfast offices. Finishing in London on The Financial Times, he moved to Edinburgh in June 2007 to work primarily for Scotland on Sunday. He joined New Consumer in February 2008 as the assistant editor.
