FairMail Cards

5 out of 5

Fairmail is a company producing fair-trade photo cards in Peru and selling them in the UK.

The photos on Fairmail cards are taken by Peruvian underprivileged teenagers. On the backside of every card you see the face, name and age of the photographer. Fairmail offers this youth photography training, part-time work and guidance in making their own future plans. The teenagers get 50 % of the profits of the sale of their own cards to finance their education.

Fairmail is first prize winner of the Business in Development Challenge 2006
