Nature’s World

0 out of 5

Nature’s World brings sustainability to the north of England and offers visitors a unique insight into the future of science and nature. The interactive displays prove that technology can work in harmony with the environment. The Earth Ship building will transport you to 2020 to explore a world without fossil fuels and one that relies on renewable forms of energy. Whilst the impact of climate change may be felt well before this date, the emphasis is on present day technology. The Hydroponicum looks at new ways of all year crop growth while solar powered talking posts help visitors to navigate their way around the 25 acre site which includes a 400 metre long working model of the River Tees. Follow one of several themed trails around organic and composting gardens, reed beds and children’s play areas.
