Palace Farm
Palace Farm combines hostel accommodation with B&B service and comfort. Cyclists will love the facilities available including cycle hire and a drying room. Nothing goes to waste at this hostel. The wood burning stove inside the modern kitchen uses excess wood from the farm as fuel. Water is heated by solar panelling and all of the plant pots had previous lives as potato bulk bins. The farm has set itself a carbon neutral target for 2008 incorporating plans for more renewable sources of energy. The range of products harvested at the farm throughout the calendar includes an unlikely combination of strawberries, wheat, pumpkins and Christmas trees.
