0 out of 5

Wetherdown Hostel is attached to the Sustainability Centre on the South Downs. The hostel has been renovated using sustainable building materials and boasts an integrated solar photovoltaic roof and a wood chip biomass boiler. Some 50 tonnes of seasoned wood fuel per year are sourced from the site and from local sustainable woodland management. Earth Works Trust, the charity running the centre and hostel was set up to provide an on-location facility to prove that green principles can be applied to all aspects of business, education and leisure. Tipis and yurts are also available to hire on the hostel’s secluded camping ground.
