We have a fantastic opportunity to work within one of the most innovative and successful self-help initiatives for homeless people. You can help vulnerably housed people earn an income and escape homelessness by volunteering at The Big Issue Company based in Vauxhall.

We need volunteers in our London office to support our mission by providing administrative assistance to both our Finance & Fundraising departments.

We are looking for reliable people with plenty of enthusiasm and the flexibility to turn their hand to any task required. The Big Issue environment is an interesting one that can provide you with a self-rewarding challenge.

You will need to be a confident communicator, well-organized and have experience of working in an office environment. Experience of working with databases and all Microsoft packages is advantageous. You must also be aware of the importance of confidentiality and be committed to the social objectives of The Big Issue.

We will pay your travelling costs and lunch expenses and provide you with tea and coffee. After three months successful volunteering we will be happy to supply you with a reference for any future employers.

How to Apply

If you are interested in volunteering at The Big Issue, please write to Samantha Pitura, HR Department, 1-5 Wandsworth Road, London SW8 2LN or alternatively email personnel@bigissue.com outlining why you would like to volunteer here and what relevant experience you have.
