Recycle Now Week has trunks of steel

More than a six pack went into these trunks and bikini, which this couple are modelling on Brighton beach for Recycle Now Week.

The outfits are made entirely out of crushed recycled steel drinks cans. ‘The theme of this year’s Recycle Now Week is transformation’, explains Nicola Bennett, from Corus, sponsors of the week. ‘The bikini and trunks are a great example of one of the ways that steel packaging can be transformed into something exciting and, importantly, fashionable.’

Steel from cans, aerosols and tins is recyclable and can be recycled more than once, so the swimwear could be transformed again into paper clips, or part of a bike or bridge or even back to a tin again.
