Fair trade condoms: Be safe and supportive

Some people are so dedicated to cutting their carbon footprint that they decide not to have children (babies are incredibly carbon-intensive - not necessarily to produce - but to bring up).

Soon there'll be a new ethical condom brand on the market for these people - and for those who just want safe - and sustainable - sex.

It's called The French Letter and the condoms are made from rubber sourced from a FairDeal Trading supported supplier, which means that the rubber plantation workers are guaranteed a fair wage and the chance to benefit from a variety of community welfare projects.

The French Letter has found that 35 per cent of women buy condoms and the company is convinced that both the feminine design and the ethical aspect of the condoms will appeal to women.

Rebecca Taplin from The French Letter Condom Company says: ' Our motto is ‘Fairplay’ -  so we’re saying have fun, be ethical, be safe and do it with style.'

Check www.frenchlettercondoms.co.uk at the end of the month for more details.
