Airships and indoor allotments ideas for Low Carbon Living 2022
Fancy travelling across the world, in a low emitting airship, with 360 degree views? Or wirelessly charging your gadgets from your own energy? And to live in house that perfectly fits your needs, and if you want to move you simply take it with you?
It’s a tantalising image presented in a report just out from sustainability charity, Forum for the Future. Low Carbon Living 2022 shows how bold action in response to climate change could improve our quality of life.
The report looks forward 15 years to see how a low carbon future can, rather than confine our lifestyles, actually enrich them - and not just in tree hugging way but in a gadget loving, planet roaming way.
The charity has produced some ‘adverts’ of conceptual products that could become reality if we channel our efforts and energy into living la vida low carb.
The ‘products’ include the Airstream - as imagined above, Kinetica, which uses your own vibrations to power your gadgets, and U-Grow, which allows you to have an allotment in your wardrobe - if you so want. Shop and Drop means no more waiting for mega-markets’ delivery vans, and Reef Living - low carbon modular housing, could secure the PM’s postcode for a few more years, and puts his eco-towns and stamp duty policies in the shade.
