Countdown to World Fair Trade Day: CVjewellery raises funds for Fairtrade Foundation

Countdown to World Fair Trade Day: CVjewellery raises funds for Fairtrade Foundation Catarina Vassalo's striking designs will donate an impressive 50% of the price paid to Fairtrade Foundation

Catarina Vassalo’s new Raising Collection of beaded jewellery will raise funds for the Fairtrade Foundation.

The collection is handmade in the UK by Vassalo using personally selected beads that meet her ethical criteria. All the individual materials must be fair trade, or organic, eco-friendly, recycled or vintage, and are used to create many one-off designs.

For each item sold the Fairtrade Foundation will benefit from receiving 50 per cent of the price paid. This ‘shifting necklace’ (pictured, £34) is made from fair trade silver, with orange dyed jade gemstones, organic wood and sponge coral beads.

The beaded collection is a great look for the summer, the long necklaces make it easy to create a carefree beach style with summer dresses or shorts and vests, and flip flops.
