Taking photos for change: get your entries in now!
Entries are being called for the CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year award.
As 2007’s winners prepare to see their snaps exhibited, this year’s hopefuls have until the end of July to submit their work. The contest, run by The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), is open to all international professional and amateur photographers.
This year’s categories are Changing Climates; A World of Difference; Quality of Life; and The Natural World. This will also be the first year of a special Under 21 category, which has no thematic boundaries. To enter, go to CIWEM’s website www.ciwem.org/awards/epoty
The 2007 Environmental Photographer of the Year award is on show at the Apothecary Gallery in West London from May 30. Winner Sudpito Das’ photograph, entitled Hard World, depicts a small boy asleep with his dog, on a poverty-stricken street.
