Get your pants out to fight poverty!
Summers approaching, the weather’s hotting up... you have no excuse not to strip down to your Fairtrade pants and join in the latest Guinness World Record attempt for global justice.
The innovative Pants To Poverty bunch are trying to get the record for the most people in their pants at any one time in order to raise awareness of the G8 lot clinging on to the World’s debt.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 17th in Birmingham – you’ll be given your own set of pants (and ladies will get a boob tube) so you won’t need to worry about what to wear!
The P2P lot have let us know the itinerary, here’s how the stunt will work:
- 10 am: More than 300 people will meet at the Walkabout pub to collect pants.
- 11am: Move to Centenary Square (in pants and fairtrade, organic boob tubes for grrrls)
- 11.10am people go to spaces for photo
- 11.15am: Press go wild. Shoot will last for fifteen minutes max
- 11.30am: World record announced!
- 11.45am: Pub Bar re-opens (we have guest ists for local clubs for those who want to make a night of it!)
So – no excuses people – get down there and get your kit off!
Turn up on the day – or call 0779 323 6115 to find out more!
