Wake up Gordon Brown!

The Organic Fortnight started yesterday and besides food festivals, talks and breakfasts, it is also time to lobby the government.

The Soil Association plans to spend the fortnight getting the government to acknowledge that organic food is 'planet-friendly' food. Policy Director, Peter Melchett says: 'While the government is busy telling everyone to buy energy-saving light bulbs and save the planet from climate change, it isn't encouraging people to eat organic food.'

As part of the 'Wake Up To An Organic Breakfast' campaign, the charity has created an online game that aims to 'wake up' Gordon Brown and give him 'courage to stand up to agribusiness.'

Feed Gordon Brown an organic breakfast here.
