Ingle & Rhode Order In Chaos Bangle

3 out of 5

This bracelet looks very abstract and fits really well as it is easy to adjust. Ingle and Rhode are one of a crop of new jewellers working to introduce fairer trading and environmentally friendly policies, sourcing their precious metals (sterling silver, in this case) from the EcoAndina Foundation in the north-west of Argentina. The metals, say the company, are extracted without mercury or cyanide, and working conditions are closely monitored.

Ingle and Rhode don’t skimp on look, either - they’ve teamed up with a range of designers to produce traditional and modern pieces. This bangle, designed by Kimberley Selwood, is one of the more avant garde in the collection.

Once on, the bangle’s angular shape does take a while to get used to, and from a purely practical perspective would make a better “hot-cup-holder” than a bracelet. However, if for you aesthetics outweigh practicality, then the Order in Chaos bangle is certainly for you - it makes a lovely, unusual piece of jewellery which will make a great accent piece to any outfit. At £519, it’s one to for your personal gift list rather than an impulse buy.
